El presente artículo recoge la experiencia educativa en el aula de Lenguaje Musical de las Enseñanzas Elemental y Profesional del Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Torrente (Valencia), debido a la instalación de la pizarra digital en el aula de Lenguaje Musical. Se muestra el proceso de adaptación docente a la aplicación de esta nueva tecnología que, supuestamente, puede facilitar el aprendizaje de esta materia a los educandos; al mismo tiempo que se recogen los problemas en el uso de la misma en el aula de música de las Enseñanzas de Régimen Especial y las necesidades formativas de los docentes de la especialidad de Lenguaje Musical para poder utilizar este recurso en sus clases.

Seed germination of Thymus richardii subsp. nitidus (Lamiaceae)

The germination ability of the punctual endemic Thymus richardii subsp. nitidus (Lamiaceae) from the Island of Marettimo in W Sicily was studied. Mature seeds were collected in the field. Different experimental conditions were tested and the best methods with optimal germination results were provided. This is the first germination record for this taxon.

Eichleriella leucophaea Bres., a wood inhabiting heterobasidiomycete, is recorded for the first time in Italy. Fruiting body occurred on branch of Quercus ilex L. Description, distributional and ecological data of this uncommon taxon are here provided.
Monte Carlo simulation of energy absorbed in phenolic ESR dosimeters added with gadolinium exposed to thermal, epithermal and fast neutrons

Abstract In this work analyses of the energy released per unit mass in phenolic compound exposed to neutron beams were performed with the aim of predicting the increase in dose achievable by addition of gadolinium (Gd) inside the pellets. In particular, Monte Carlo (MC) simulations were carried out for IRGANOX® 1076 phenolic compound irradiated with neutron beams with different energy spectra at various depths inside a water phantom. Photosensitivity of SiO2–Al and SiO2–Na glasses under ArF (193 nm) laser

Abstract Photosensitivity of SiO 2 –Al and SiO 2 –Na glass samples was probed by means of the induced optical absorption and luminescence as well as by electron spin-resonance (ESR) after irradiation with excimer-laser photons (ArF, 193 nm). Permanent visible darkening in the case of SiO 2 –Al and transient, life time about one hour, visible darkening in the case of SiO 2 –Na was found under irradiation at 290 K. No darkening was observed at 80 K for either kind of material. This investigation is dedicated to revealing the electronic processes responsible for photosensitivity at 290 and 80 K. Electron paramagnetic resonance line shape investigation of the Si-29 hyperfine doublet of the E'γ center in a-SiO2

We report an experimental study by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy of the E′γ center and of its hyperfine structure, consisting in a pair of lines split by 42 mT. Our results show that two types of E′γ centers can be distinguished on the basis of the EPR line shapes of their main resonance line and hyperfine structure. (© 2007 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
